GlamCandy Make Up artistry Students, Semi Pro and Pro Make Up teams will be supporting the Look Good Feel Better organisation. The organisation was set up to provide support for women struggling with the side effects of cancer treatments. They are dedicated to improving the self-esteem, confidence and well-being of women by running sessions designed to show the women how to make the most of their makeup, goodie bags for the ladies to take away are generously supplied by the cosmetics industry. The make up artistry teams from GlamCandy are participating in sessions to give the women lots of expert help and advice on their skincare and makeup routines. We are very proud of all our artists and are looking forward to upcoming sessions.

On the 27th June GlamCandy took part in an exciting event ‘Hatchery Hits The Streets’ supported by Business Gateway and Entrepreneurial spark which helps recognise the talent of new businesses. Our Artist Relations Director Carol pitched in front of a 500 strong crowd with some important faces from the business world in attendance to scoop the £2000 prize! It’s finally official! Carol is now working full time as our Artist Relations Director for Glam Artist Agency. For the past 7 months Carol has been working for us part-time working on numerous jobs such as weddings, hen parties, photoshoots, model agency bookings, editorials, fashions shows. Carol is also one of the lead tutors at our sister company GlamCandy Makeup School. In the past 7 months she has become an asset to the team and has already helped the company grow. Dawn and Hana from our Semi pro team have just completed their first solo photoshoot with Glam Artist Agency. The amazing models Flora, Stephanie, Louise & Romain from the The Studio Model Agency, were a dream to work with. We would like to thank Anji Locke who helped us organise the shoot which was held in The Yard Edinburgh (amazing venue, definitely booking in for dinner one night) and for helping style the shoot with local shops and designers such as Fabhatrix, Judy R Clark, Godiva and The Kilt Store. While over in California this summer Hayley interviewed with some amazing makeup artists and hair stylists in the Standard Hotel, Hollywood and in the Fairmont hotel in Santa Monica. Mallzee’s massive marketing campaign will see the launch of a new iphone app and video which will be launched at London Fashion Week. The entire Mallzee office was taken over by hordes of beautiful models, make-up artists and hair supremos. Pro Team Makeup Artist Emma was assisted by Tina, Hana and Dawn from our Semi Pro Team and Melanie did the hair, the girls did a fantastic and had loads of fun adding another fabulous piece to their portfolios.

An exclusive charity fashion show hosted by TV nutritionist Amanda Hamilton showcased the ‘upcycled’ outfits by 12 of Scotland’s up and coming design students with the winning design announced by guest judge and super model Anna Freemantle.
Held at the award winning Voodoo Rooms on Sunday 7 October 2012, the ‘Don’t Dump, Design’ event was ran by Mary’s Living & Giving Shop for Save the Children.
Edinburgh’s fashionistas had the opportunity to buy the one-off designs when they were auctioned off on the night and were also be able to browse through items from independent boutiques and designers in a range of pop up shops including Fabhatrix, Dazed Dorothy and Mary’s Living and Giving. Exclusive donations from Scottish designers Lasvicious, Louise Ferdinand, Beautiful Bottoms and Dawntroversial were also auctioned on the night.
Amanda & Ebony created the looks for the evening and hair was styled by Be Ba Boom Hairdressing.
